About
Dear friend,

Thank you for visiting me.

If you look at the address bar, above, you will see "My3rdAct.online". And indeed, I'm in my 3rd act of a three act play.

The first act, my youth, was full of love, activity and optimism. It was a "white picket fence" time of my life where everything seemed to be happy and carefree. That act lasted for 22 years and ended with my first apartment and with my beloved grandfather taking me to the bank to cosign on my first loan, allowing me to establish credit.

The second act of my life, began with my entry into the work force and lasted for 43 years. This act saw the peeling away of the paint from my white picket fence, with the stress of adulthood replacing the optimism of youth. I spent my career in the hotel industry and enjoyed it immensely. After 43 years of hosting guests from around the world, I decided to close the 2nd act and begin my final and 3rd act: my retirement

My third act began with my retirement and my move from Atlanta. After a year of twiddling my thumbs and the realization that I missed Atlanta, I moved back and returned to the hotel; only this time, part-time and with no managerial responsibility. These days, I spend my time sampling restaurants, visiting shops, and exploring all that Atlanta has to offer. I enjoy tinkering with my blog and social media sites where I review the places I've enjoyed.

If you like Atlanta and would like some of those reviews to pop up on your Facebook or Instagram feeds, you are invited to follow me on those sites. You'll find those social media sites at the top of this page. Also, check out my scrapbook, above.

I wish you the very best,

Al
